1. Street Food Cinema
Street Food Cinema is back for its 11th year of bringing Hollywood classics to idyllic outdoor locations throughout the city including Will Rogers State Historic Park, Westdrift Manhattan Beach and LA State Historic Park. You’re free to picnic with your own snacks, but per its name, you can expect delicious eats from some of the city’s best food trucks at every event including Angelenos’ Wood Fired Pizza, Daddy Ji, Flamin Hot Chicken, District Burger and Coco’s Lipsmacking Cupcakes among others. 2. Rooftop Cinema Club
Catch your favorite film with a side of stunning skyline views at Rooftop Cinema Club. Perfect for date night or a night out with the fam, you can find these outdoor screenings hosted in DTLA, the Arts District and El Segundo. Contrary to other screenings where the sound can be difficult to hear, Rooftop Cinema Club uses state-of-the-art wireless headphones so you can sit back and relax without missing half the dialogue due to deafening choppers overhead. Each venue is complete with a full bar and food, so you can take the dinner and a movie experience to soaring new heights.

3. Cinespia
Founded in 2002, Cinespia brings movie magic to life in some of the most iconic venues across the city, most notably The Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Consider this one of the more traditional, DIY outdoor movie screenings. There’s no seating provided, so come equipped with your best picnic blankets, pillows and low chairs (high chairs aren’t permitted). 4. Melrose Rooftop Theatre

11. Boat Cinema at Castaic Lake
You’ve heard of drive-ins and dive-ins, but now Castaic Lake is bringing “float-ins” to add to your summer plans. Just about an hour out from Los Angeles, The Boat Cinema screens cult classics on the shore while visitors can rent mini boats to experience the film from the water. Come early for Captain’s Cocktail Hour starting at 5 p.m. before the screening begins shortly after sundown. You can bring your own food and drinks (with a $30 corking fee) or hail down the snack boat that’ll deliver movie snacks, artisanal pizzas and charcuterie boards right to you. Cinemalibu is an outdoor movie series that takes place at Malibu Bluffs Park on the third Saturday of June, July and August. Pre-movie activities (including giveaways, D’Amore’s Pizza Truck and Apollo’s Expresso and Shave Ice) begin about one hour before sunset and the screenings begin at sunset. Seating isn’t provided, so be sure to pack up your chairs, blankets, pillows and snacks to make the evening extra comfy.

13. Dive-In Movies at The Garland
Escape the chaos of the city at The Garland, a warm and retro hotel situated in North Hollywood that hosts movie nights by the pool every Wednesday through Saturday. 14. Outdoor Movie Night at Jamaica Bay Inn
Wrap up the weekend with a beachside movie night at Marina del Rey’s Jamaica Bay Inn. Hosted every Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. on the beachfront lawn, this boutique hotel screens classics from the ’90s and early 2000s completely free of charge. Bring lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy drinks specials and food available for purchase from the hotel.

15. Movies Under the Stars (One Colorado)
Last but not least, One Colorado in Old Pasadena is hosting a free outdoor movie series this summer with three ’90s classics. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to come a bit early to snag a comfortable seat. There’s also premier seating available for guests that show a receipt for a minimum purchase of $50 (per person) from any One Colorado restaurant or shop. 16. Movies On The Roof at Westfield Fashion Square
The cinema series Movies On The Roof is back at Westfield Fashion Square in collaboration with My Valley Pass! This alfresco movie screening experience includes comfortable seating on plush bean bag chairs or deep-seated Adirondack chairs, state-of-the-art projection and sound and valley views on the rooftop of Westfield Fashion Square parking deck. Your ticket also includes complimentary water and popcorn.
