Weather In Scotland Is Warmer Than L.A. Thanks To The Heatwave Engulfing Europe

Tempreatures in Scotland are expected to reach 78.8°F as a heatwave sweeps over Europe today.

Just when we thought the city was getting its sunny weather back, Scotland’s national newspaper reported that the nation is currently hotter than L.A. all because of an “enormous reservoir of warm air.”

Met Office forecaster Matthew Box said: “There is an enormous reservoir of warm air across Europe at the moment. On Friday we will have high pressure over the UK and low pressure out in the Atlantic, and that will bring settled weather conditions across the UK and an easterly flow of air across the southern half of the country. Those easterly winds are drawing that warm air from the near continent and that reservoir across the UK and that’s why we’re getting those warm temperatures.”

It’s predicted that this blast of warm weather will result in Scotland’s hottest day of the year, so far… Don’t worry Los Angeles, by the looks of it – we’ll be getting our share of warm weather beginning this weekend.
