What is Blue Ribbon Sports?
Known as the official birthplace of Nike, BRS first opened in late 1967. In addition to selling running shoes, the retail space was a hub for LA runners to gather and chat about all things athletics. BRS ultimately made a name for itself as a brand by runners, for runners, later evolving into the Nike brand as we know it today.
In January 2019, BRS reopened exclusively as a community hub for runners. You can’t buy shoes anymore, but step into BRS’ welcoming space and you’ll join a community of athletes brought together through the language of running.
