Did you know that Anaheim’s Honda Center is in the middle of an enormous, $4 billion transformation?
The project, known as OCVIBE, is a 100-acre mixed-use development designed as a large public gathering space with parks, entertainment venues, residential units, hotels, and a wide range of dining options.
And despite the project’s massive scale, we actually won’t have to wait long to see it come together. Some of OCVIBE’s key features are expected to begin opening in early 2027, with development rolling out in phases.

Phase 1 openings at OCVIBE
Phase 1 of the project will open to the public in early 2027 with the following:
- Katella Commons: A 50,000 square foot food market hall with 21 chef-driven kitchens and 6 bars and lounges
- OCVIBE Concert Hall: A 5,000-seat, 18,000 square foot live entertainment venue
- The Weave: A 168,000 square foot office building housing coworking space Kiln
- Urban Park and The First Public Plaza: The first portions of OCVIBE’s planned 20-acre park and plaza spaces
- Parking Infrastructure: New multi-story parking structures, including the already operational Katella and Cerritos garages, and the soon-to-open River Garage near Honda Center
- Public Art Program: A collection of more than 70 public art installations integrated into the OCVIBE campus

Future vision for OCVIBE
Looking ahead to 2028 and 2029, visitors can look forward to expanded green spaces, two hotels, initial residential units, and a smaller-capacity venue known as the “Golden Bear” club.
The broader vision for OCVIBE emphasizes sustainability, accessibility, and community-focused design, with LEED-certified buildings and thoughtfully planned open spaces. Designers highlight features such as interconnected parks, pedestrian-friendly layouts, and wellness-oriented environments intended to support both physical and mental well-being.
The full project is expected to be completed around 2033, encompassing approximately 20 acres of open space, more than 2,000 residential units, over 35 dining options, and three entertainment venues.
