The largest art event in the entire United States is happening right now in Southern California. PST ART (previously known as Pacific Standard Time) is back this September. The theme this year is Art & Science Collide. It will run from September 15, 2024 through February 16, 2025 at over a hundred galleries, museums, and institutions across Southern California.
Art and Science Coming Together
PST ART is an initiative of the Getty Foundation alongside art institutions across Southern California. And this year’s event, PST ART: Art & Science Collide, will feature over 800 artists and have over 70 exhibitions on display. This incredible art event will “share groundbreaking research, spark lively debate, and provide thought-provoking lenses to explore our complex world.”
It will “explore the intersections of Art and Science, both past and present” through public programs, exhibitions, and other resources. Plus, participating artists will discuss topics such as “ancient cosmologies, Indigenous sci-fi, environmental justice, and artificial intelligence.”
