Whether you’re looking to give your entrance some seasonal decking, or you just want to find the perfect specimen to carve up in the spirit of Halloween, then you can already Here are the pumpkin patches that are open ahead of the spooky season—all with health and safety protocols in place, of course. This pastoral pumpkin haven has postponed their annual Fall Harvest Festival (for now) but you can still wander through the acres of Ventura County farmland to find you perfect pumpkin. You’ll also be able to visit the adorable four-legged residents go sunflower picking and visit get your seasonal selfie at the pumpkin house along with other displays. Due to health and safety measures, certain farm entertainment will be limited to weekends and only a certain amount of guests will be allowed in at a time. This means you’ll need to wait outside unless you’ve purchased tickets online in advance (but this option only applies to weekends). Admission is $8 weekdays, $15 on weekends, children under 2 go in free of charge.

Pick your pumpkins straight from the vine with Hello Kitty and her cute companions. To make your way around the 30 acres of land you can either take a $25 tractor ride with a pitstop at a pumpkin canyon followed by a stop-off for a “U-pick” session. Or, you can navigate the farm yourself with the drive-through option on weekends which will cost $20. The patch will be open until October 31 and it’s open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Live Oak Canyon holds the title of the largest U-Pick it pumpkin patch in all of San Bernardino County. It also has some of the most beautiful displays we’ve seen in the past years, most notably the gorgeous, organic pumpkin house with the vegetables still attached to their vines. This year, the gourd patch opens earlier with the final day for picking on Halloween.
