The internet’s favorite bouncy chunky princess, Moo Deng, is back in the spotlight again, and this time she’s the star of an incredible light and sound festival in Bangkok, Thailand. The Bangkok Illumination Festival 2024 is a bright event with an even brighter star in the capital of Thailand.
“Moo Deng Buk Krung” means “The Bouncing Pig Takes Over the Capital.” And that’s exactly what this slippery star is doing this holiday season. From now until Jan. 7, 2025, visitors to Bangkok can see dazzling light displays paired with larger-than-life inflatable replicas of the baby pygmy hippopotamus. The festival will illuminate nine iconic locations across the city.
It may be a bit far from L.A. but if you’re blessed to have the means, it would be an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime trip to ring in the New Year. Luckily, Thailand is visa-free destination for up to 60 days for Americans. Just don’t forget to update your passport before you head out on your big Thai adventure!
