If you’ve ever wanted to shop like a Hollywood set decorator or hunt for vintage treasures next to an A-lister, this legendary outdoor market is your monthly playground!
Affectionately called the “Flea Market of the Stars,” this legendary Pasadena institution has become a SoCal cultural rite of passage. For over five decades, the Rose Bowl Flea Market, at the Rose Bowl Stadium, has transformed into a vintage wonderland, hosting upwards of 2,500 vendors and a sea of 20,000 treasure hunters.
Why the ‘celebrity’ status?
Given its enormous scale and proximity to the major studios, the market serves as a primary hunting ground for industry professionals and celebrities alike. In fact, the market has seen everyone from Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz browsing the furniture aisles to Kendall Jenner scouting for vintage fashion!
Wear your most comfortable walking shoes and prepare for a marathon — you’ll likely cover several miles of stadium asphalt before the day is done…
Our tips for the ultimate hunt
The Early Bird Advantage: While General Admission begins at 9:00 AM, the true “sharks” arrive at dawn. Early Bird Admission (5:00 AM – 8:45 AM) is the only way to ensure you get first dibs on one-of-a-kind furniture and high-end collectibles before they’re snatched up.
Timing Your Exit: The event officially wraps at 4:30 PM, but the clock starts ticking much earlier for shoppers. Entry closes strictly at 3:00 PM, and many veteran vendors begin packing their vans shortly after, so don’t save your browsing for the final hour.
