A free anime pop-up is headed to Los Angeles!
Anime streaming service Crunchyroll has teamed up with The Loop, a new store opening up in Canoga Park, California, to bring an immersive pop-up for six anime titles to life.
The first three anime to be featured are Solo Leveling, Sentenced to Be a Hero, and Bananya.
The pop-up for each title is described as follows:
- Solo Leveling: Do you have what it takes to become a hunter? Enter the Hunters Association to test your mana levels to discover your rank, class, and skills.
- Sentenced to Be a Hero: Fight alongside Penal Hero Unit 9004 and join the war against the demon blight.
- Bananya: Peel away from the action to find Bananya and its lively bunch of friends at a summer festival filled with various games and even a photo opp with an adorable plushie wall. Don’t forget to stay for the fireworks!
The Loop will also include a retail shop with products from each anime title, including exclusive apparel, figures, plushies, and home goods, as well as limited-run Crunchyroll items. The Loop’s immersive experiences are free to enter. Crunchyroll subscribers will be given early access to the experience.
According to a press release, there will also be a special limited-edition 3-pack of pins for $15 that features each anime series. The purchase of the pin pack comes with a day of FastPass access that allows the buyer to skip the line.
When does it run?
The Loop and the pop-up are scheduled to open June 12.
And this is just the beginning! These three titles will run through August. After the end date, The Loop and Crunchyroll will refresh the venue with three new anime series, to be announced at a later date.
What is The Loop?
Soon to open at the Westfield Topanga in Woodland Hills, California, The Loop is a “rotating retail destination featuring exclusive merchandise, collectibles, apparel, and themed environments inspired by the world’s biggest entertainment brands, franchises, games, music, and cultural moments.”
It officially opens June 12.
