Video game lovers, rejoice! A Square Enix Café & Shop is officially headed to Los Angeles.
Following the openings and closings of shops and pop-ups in Japan, the video game maker is opening two permanent shops. The first will open in Spring 2026 in L.A.’s beloved Little Tokyo neighborhood. The second is headed to Tokyo in Japan.
Square Enix announced the news on Friday, April 24. “This will be the first time an official Square Enix Café location offers a full, authentic menu in the United States,” Anime News Network reports.
The menu items will be inspired by Square Enix properties like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. The adjoining shop will also carry official merchandise from the games. J-Pop Culture Cafe Inc. will operate the L.A. cafe and shop.
The shop will be right at home among Little Tokyo’s plethora of anime and video game pitstops. There’s no opening date just yet, though it’s expected to open soon.
