The Empire Strips Back is a cabaret-style show with comedy, skits, and the sexiest dancing in the galaxy. But what really sets this world-renowned production is that it’s straight out of the Star Wars universe! The parody show is finally coming to LA’s Montalbán Theatre (1615 Vine St.) on October 10, and tickets just went on sale!
Whether you’re a Star Wars fan or have never seen a second of the films, this show has something for everybody. The production does an excellent job of balancing easter eggs and references with pop music and skits that all will love. If you enjoy a steamy dance number and over an hour and a half of silly fun, The Empire Strips Back is for you!
The music covers just about every genre you can think of. One moment, there’s a smooth and soft number as two aliens dance sensually with each other across the stage. The next, heavy metal from System of a Down kicks on as Tusken Raiders start head banging!
The performers are certainly the stars of The Empire Strips Back, but you’ll also be stunned by the amount of care that went into all the sets, costumes, and props. The parody production was clearly crafted with a lot of love, and we can’t wait for it to come back to Hollywood.
The Empire Strips Back opens at the Montalbán Theatre (1615 Vine St.) on October 10. The show has consistently been selling out, so be sure to get your tickets before they’re gone!
