It’s National Hot Toddy Day On Friday And This Venice Shop Is Giving Out Free Boozy Sundaes

By Malia Wooten

What’s better than a free ice cream sundae? A free boozy ice cream sundae! 🍨

Though the temperatures may be dipping below our Southern California comfort levels, no weather can truly stop us from indulging on our favorite frozen treats. To celebrate National Hot Toddy Day, the Abbot Kinney ice cream shop Humphry Slocombe has teamed up with Scottish distillery Glenlivet for a rather heart-warming flavor!

Putting a spin on the classic cocktail made with whiskey, honey, lemon, and hot water – the Venice shop introduces the Glenlivet. The sundae is made with 12-year-old single-malt whiskey and is covered in house-made clove caramel drizzle and candied lemon zest bringing you the ultimate Hot Toddy sundae.

And the best part about this collaboration?

Humphry Slocombe is handing out scoops of this bad boy for free! On Friday, January 11 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m, stop by the scoop shop for a night filled with delectable freebies. You may even get your hands on a few one-night-only items like the Founder’s Reserve highball float made with Founder’s Reserve Hot Toddy, dark sea salt hot chocolate or a scoop of ice cream of your choosing, plopping into a pour of Glenlivet 12-year.

Location: 1653B Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA 90291. See it on Google maps.
