Because, you deserve it.
After these last few months, every Angeleno could do with a little escape. Just a moment to unplug from all that’s going on and step back from everything that has been going on. Luckily, we have the advantage of taking day trips just outside of town to find the peace that we need and a company called Getaway has made the process easier than ever. They have also introduced a whole lot of measures to ensure all their Outposts are safe for guests. [Featured photo: Getaway]
There’s something about nature that leaves you feeling recharged and reconnected with what matters most, so it only makes sense that Getaway has set up ‘glamp’ in some of the most beautiful places across the country. Located just two hours away in the San Bernadino mountains, is a community of tiny luxury cabins that are so beautiful they feel like something straight off of the explore page.
Sprawled across 60-acres of Big Bear Lake forest are 40 two-to-four-person cabins that have beautiful views and impressive minimalistic designs. Each cabin is equipped with one or two queen beds (depending on the size of the traveling party), a mini kitchen with a two-burner stove, a bathroom with a hot shower, AC and heat, a campfire grill grate, picnic furniture, as well as a number of biodegradable amenities. There’s even a lockbox in each cabin that allows you to lock your phone away so that you can really disconnect with the outside world and finally indulge in some quiet time to yourself. A major plus? You can bring your dog along too!
There are a number of activities around the outpost to keep you entertained and short of a Netflix-binge withdrawal. From hiking trails and arboretums to local grocery stores and a lakefront taproom bar and kitchen, there isn’t anything that is more than a 25-minute trip from your cabin!
Breathtaking views, cabin cuddles, and nature-induced serenity that every city-goer needs in their life — what more could you ask for? Maybe a bonfire with a DIY smores making kit… oh wait, you can add that to your stay too.
Book your next escape from the city, here!</h3?
