Gastro Garage is reigniting the scene with a culinary spectacle that’s keeping the city aglow. The popular ‘Torched’ pop-up experience serves up dinner and a show as chefs (or “gastro mechanics”) cook your meal in front of you using industrial-sized torches. Think vintage-style garage workmen toasting upscale fare to perfection with blowtorches, in a luxurious outdoor setting scored with electrifying 80s anthems.
After dazzling guests last summer with a warm-up round of fiery dining theatrics, the Gastro Garage team is returning up the heat once again, and their new home is the lush Garden Terrace at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills this month.
Your intimate dinner experience entails an 8-course “Mechanics Menu,” featuring the signature dishes like Gastro Tanks (brioche-style donuts) and Drill Bits (which involves marinated salmon or Japanese short rib roasted while rotating on industrial drill bits). And, of course, it’ll all be prepared by your own personal gastro mechanic donning industrial worker’s gloves!
For your warm-up round, you can throw back a shot of Bulleit and sip on a smokin’ seasonal cocktail. If you’re still thirsty after that, you can refuel with craft beverages available from the cash bar.
Save room for the Fireberry Gastro Tank which consists of a delicate, sweet cream cheese foam with glazed balsamic strawberries topped with freshly cracked black pepper.
‘Torched’ is where fine dining meets Rock ‘n’ Roll and it’s the hottest show you’ll see this spring!
