The 11th annual VidCon has announced its difficult decision to cancel this summer.
Anaheim’s notorious summertime gathering is thought to be one of the biggest events of the year for social media influencers and content creators across the globe. However, due to the world’s recent coronavirus outbreak, VidCon has announced that this year’s conference is now canceled for obvious reasons.
“Unfortunately, due to the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 we made the difficult decision to cancel #VidConUS. We are working hard to bring you a VidCon US experience this fall, and will keep you posted as those details come together! " – Jim Louderback, GM of VidCon pic.twitter.com/BnwozjmTrZ

In the statement, the company explained that all tickets and merchandise purchased for the three-day event in June will be fully refunded by April 15. They even expressed the possibility of hosting VidCon in the fall, but have not set in anything in stone due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19.
