Getting ready for Thanksgiving just got a lot easier on your wallet.
Walmart stepped up to the table with its cheapest holiday meal deal ever. The retail giant unveiled its ‘Holiday Meal Basket’ on Wednesday.
The grocer says the massive bundle can feed 10 people for $35. That makes it the most affordable price since they started offering this specific deal.
It is actually $5 cheaper than last year’s basket, and they even added six extra items.
What is inside the $35 holiday basket
You get all the classic staples to pull off a traditional dinner. The basket focuses on high-utility items and zero-prep shortcuts.
Key ingredients include:
- A Butterball turkey (estimated at 13.5 lbs and selling for 97 cents per pound)
- Stove Top stuffing and dinner rolls
- Essential ingredients for a sweet potato casserole
- Baking staples for a homemade pumpkin pie
You can grab the basket in physical stores or buy the entire list online with one click. The deal runs straight through Christmas Eve.
How other major grocery deals compare
Before you check out, note that the $3.50 per-person price point excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, and Wisconsin.
Your final total will also vary based on local taxes or any delivery fees.
If you shop elsewhere, other major retailers are rolling out similar anti-inflation hooks right now. Aldi offers a 12-item bundle to feed 10 people for under $39.
For smaller gatherings, Target has a meal deal that feeds six people for $30. If you are hosting a massive crowd, Sam’s Club rolled out a feast designed to feed 16 people for about $160.
