What is “We Call It Flamenco”?
We Call It Flamenco is an authentic Spanish dance show broken down into four acts. Instead of having to journey all the way to Spain, a stage covered in romantic flowers, and lighting effects and professional artists are coming together to bring flamenco to life right here in L.A. Witness rhythmic hand clapping (palmas) mixed in with six of fifty different flamenco styles (or palos).
Flamenco, its palos and the show
Flamenco originated in southern Spain. It is entangled in folklore. It also expects experts in its form to go beyond their abilities and reach an out-of-body experience. This fiery show showcases the power of Fandangos de Huelva, a guitar solo, tangos, bulerías, and so much more. Get lost in a 60-minute performance that will make you want to say, “Olé.”
Over the coming months, audiences are set to be given a captivating glimpse of what makes flamenco so special. A hypnotic flamenco show, We Call It Flamenco includes the impressive Spanish skirts (faldas) and flamenco guitar for a performance that remains true to tradition. Don’t miss out on this four-act show taking over the City of Angels.
