As we wave farewell to dazzling spring flowers like Carlsbad’s ranunculus fields and Underwood Family Farm’s tulips, there’s still another brilliant bloom to enjoy as we close out the spring season—and this one has its own festival! Starting May 2nd, consider making the trip out to the 123 Farms Lavender Festival, the 21st annual event celebrating the farm’s 20-acre lavender field. Just make sure you stick around until the evening when the purple blossoms are illuminated with 100,000 lights.
Of course, the Lavender Festival is more than just a pretty sight. Much like 123 Farm’s impressive Christmas Nights event, this springtime occasion offers a formidable lineup of themed food for sale, s’mores pits, a flower market, live music, tours, workshops, and demonstrations.
Read on for everything to know so that you can make the most of the Lavender Festival from May 2-July 20, 2025. If you want to see all 20 acres of lavender fields at their best, consider timing your visit with peak bloom from mid-June to mid-July. Tickets are available from 5-10pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in May, later opening up to include Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in June and July.

What is there to do at the 123 Farms Lavender Festival?
Guests are invited to visit the Lavender Festival during evening hours, which gives you plenty of time to take sunset pictures throughout the fields and see the blooms lit up after dark. Nightly live musical performances on the festival lawn add to the ambiance.

Lavender-themed food
Wander the grounds and taste delicious seasonal food and drink, such as the always-refreshing lavender lemonade and lavender ice cream. Pick up some lavender cheese and a fresh loaf from the Sourdough Bread Hall, and try floral-inspired desserts or the green tea flight at the Flower Eatery.
On Saturdays and Sundays, 123 Farms will also host mini tours of its on-site winery with a complimentary tasting. And finally, you can rent a Lavender S’mores Pit from Friday-Sunday for a chance to enjoy their organic (you guessed it) lavender chocolate.

Tours, workshops, and activities
If you want to learn more about the farm’s crops and day-to-day activities, consider opting for a guided tractor tour of the grounds. You can also watch a daily lavender distillation demonstration, which shares the process for extracting essential oils from the plants.
Of course, if you’re more of a hands-on type, check out a fun lineup of workshops on select days. Options include building a lavender or olive branch crown, creating your own bath bombs, and an entertaining sip-and-paint experience.
A final stop at the Flower Market or Organic Galleries will ensure you don’t leave the Lavender Festival empty-handed—browse everything from dried bouquets to beauty products and candles.
Celebrate the bounty of 123 Farm’s brilliant lavender fields at their 21st annual Lavender Festival, one of the most unique events to discover in SoCal this spring and summer.
