Cherry Valley’s picturesque 123 Farm, known for its beautiful swaths of lavender flowers over the summer, has brought back the magical Christmas Nights event for 2023. Now through January 7, 2024, you can stroll through the lavender fields and olive groves draped with one million golden lights to enjoy food, live music, games, and unique handmade goods.
Begin your twilight adventure at the Eatery where you can indulge in all things lavender. Devour a delicious wood-fired sourdough pizza like the Fig and Lavender Goat Cheese with arugula. There are plenty of options including burgers, sausages and grilled fare. And don’t worry, not all of it includes lavender — although, you may want to save some room for the lavender cheesecake or ice cream.
Once you’ve filled up on the heavenly food, head to the Organic Galleries and browse the incredible local vendors. There’ll be plenty of products made from the summer harvest, allowing you to take a little piece of the experience home with you. This beloved Christmas market has an enchanting atmosphere with plenty of cute displays to discover as you soak up the history of a century-old farm. Don’t forget to pick up a hot chocolate from the life-size gingerbread house.
Families will want to make a stop at Santa’s Workshop to get free photos with Mr. Claus himself. Other engaging activities include an illuminated holiday maze, a lively riddle-filled scavenger hunt, and tractor wagon rides through the lavender fields.
You’ll probably get a little thirsty and peckish along the way, which is the perfect opportunity to stop off at the bar for coffee, lavender champagne, beers or martinis. Of course, it didn’t really happen unless it’s immortalized with a photo, so take a seat on the chesterfield sofa for the perfect snap amongst the twinkling trees.
123 Farm’s towering trees and fields have been 1,000 years in the making and you can continue to enjoy its beauty after the summer blooms. The glittering star of the show is hands down the majestic thousand-year-old California live oak tree which stands at over 50 feet tall. It’s an awe-inspiring symbol of strength and wisdom which continues to flourish.
General admission tickets cost $28 for adults, $24 for seniors and students, and $20 for children. It’s best to reserve your tickets in advance, but if you end up purchasing at the door, be prepared to pay an extra $10.
