123 Farm’s Christmas Nights are back this month with s’mores pits and more enchanting experiences.
The picturesque 123 Farm, known for its beautiful swaths of violet flowers over the summer, has a stunning night market. Its towering trees and fields have been 1,000 years in the making and you can continue to enjoy its beauty post the summer blooms. Every Thursday to Sunday from November 4 through January 8, you can stroll through the lavender fields and olive groves draped with 1 million twinkling lights to enjoy festive food, ride in a horse-drawn carriage, toast S’mores, browse the Xmas Village with unique handmade goods and even pose for photos with Santa.
You can begin your twilight adventure at the food court where you can indulge in holiday fare and all things lavender. Warm up with soups made with locally grown vegetables, then share a delicious wood-fired sourdough pizza like the Fig and Lavender Goat Cheese with arugula. Don’t worry, not all of it includes lavender. There are plenty of other options including burgers, Hebrew National Hot Dogs, and rosemary garlic fries. Just make sure you save some room for the Christmas red velvet funnel cake.
There’ll be a dedicated hot chocolate stand at the heart of the farm, where you can servings of cocoa in a souvenir mug (and, yes, there’s lavender flavor too). If you’re not driving, you can head to the decked-out Christmas Bar and browse the festive drinks menu of mulled wine, holiday beer, spiked egg nog, and spiked hot chocolate.
Once you’ve filled up on the heavenly food, head to The 12 Days of Christmas Shops and browse the incredible local vendors. There’ll be plenty of products made from the seasonal harvests, allowing you to take a little piece of the experience home with you.
Continue through the Holiday Maze, try spotting all the hidden elves in Elvesville and stop by the Glistening Willow tree and life-size Gingerbread house before you make your way to the S’mores Pit for the essential toasted snack.
This enchanting atmosphere has plenty of cute displays to discover as you soak up the history of this century-old farm. Wander through the lavender fields and olive groves then head to the historical gallery to peruse unique artifacts. The glittering star of the show is hands down the majestic thousand-year-old California live oak tree which stands at over 50 feet tall. It’s an awe-inspiring symbol of strength and wisdom which continues to flourish.
Of course, it didn’t really happen unless it’s immortalized with a photo with Santa who will be hanging out in the Spanish Courtyard, in between his busy schedule. You could also take a seat on the chesterfield sofa for the perfect snap amongst the twinkling trees.
What’s more, is entry free for the first week of November, making this the perfect little escape with friends or family.
