The 2028 Olympics might still feel a little distant, but the clock is already ticking. L.A. is getting ready to host the Games for the third time, a rare feat for a city that isn’t a national capital, and ticket sales are about to kick off. If you’ve ever wanted to witness Olympic history in person, this is your chance and everything you need to know to make it happen.
How to get tickets to the 2028 Olympics?
Starting this January 14, 2026, fans can register on the official LA28 site for the Olympic Ticket Draw. This first step doesn’t cost anything; it’s just a way to get your name in the mix for a chance to buy tickets later in the year. After the draw, lucky registrants will be assigned a specific time to purchase tickets during the ticket drop. Paralympic tickets will follow a similar process in 2027.
2028 Olympics ticket prices
Single tickets start at $28, though higher-tier options and hospitality packages will also be available. For those looking to make a full event out of it, travel and premium packages through On Location will give early access to the ultimate Olympic experience.
Special access for locals
L.A., Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, or Ventura Counties residents, can get a head start. By registering with your local ZIP code, you could be eligible for a locals presale from April 2-6, 2026, before tickets go on sale to the general public. If you miss out, don’t worry: your registration will automatically roll into the next ticket drop.
When and where will the 2028 Olympics be held?
The Olympics will run July 14-30, 2028, followed by the Paralympics August 15-27. Events will be scattered across L.A. and nearby areas, including Long Beach, Inglewood, Pasadena, Carson, Pomona, Arcadia, and even Oklahoma City for select events like canoe slalom and softball.
When will I get my tickets?
So technically, you can’t buy a ticket just yet. Today’s process is only the first step.
