1. Kogi

Before Ched Roy Choi became an international icon, he crafted the well-known and beloved Korean Taco! This hip food truck fuses the flavors of street tacos and Korean cuisine together for the ultimate melts-in-your-mouth sensation. OG Kogi tacos are about $2.5p a pop and served with salsa roja, cilantro, onion, lime, Kogi slaw; choose from short rib, spicy pork, chicken, or tofu as the protein. (If you have room, order the kimchi fries. They won’t disappoint.)

Location: 3500 Overland Ave #100, Los Angeles, CA 90034. See it on Google maps.

2. Ricky’s Fish Tacos

This Baja native may just be the master of Baja fish tacos. Ricky Pina has won many awards for his food truck from big names like the Food Network, Travel Channel, and Yahoo and we totally understand why! Where else in the city can you find expertly fried fish and shrimp alongside homemade agua frescas and salsa?

3. Tacos La Estrella

Somethings never beat the classics. This day-and-night-time food truck probably has some of the best carne asada tacos in Southern California. Stop by their permanent location and order the delicious batch of carne tacos made of smokey meat, onion, cilantro, and salsa roja. Sounds pretty simple, but trust us on this one!

Location: 5139 York Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90042. See it on Google maps.

4. Mariscos Jalisco

If you’re a true foodie, then tacos dorado de camaron should definitely be at the top of your list! The deep-fried fish tacos are some of the best in town, attracting those who crave delicious crispy tacos from far and wide. Your mouth will water just watching the cook load shrimp into a tortilla before dipping into a batch of hot oil until it turns perfect golden brown.

5. Leo’s Taco Truck

Angelenos argue that Leo’s serves some of the best al pastor in the taco industry. Undoubtedly, the chefs have mastered the art of the pineapple-topped trompo, the vertical split in the meat which cooks the marinated pork, along with some flecks of the pineapple itself. We also give you permission to go crazy at the extensive taco bar – you’re welcome!
