Sometimes, the best nights out happen beyond the LA city limits. Just an hour east, the Inland Empire is trading California palm trees for the gritty streets of 1920s Birmingham. Candlelight: Peaky Blinders is making its way to the historic First Congregational Church of Riverside for an evening of dark, powerful string arrangements.
Following wildly successful classical tributes to The Lord of the Rings and Bridgerton, Candlelight is giving the Shelby family its turn in the glow of thousands of candles. Over the course of 60 minutes, a live ensemble will channel the razor-sharp spirit of Steven Knight’s acclaimed BBC drama and its recent 2026 film continuation, The Immortal Man.

Candlelight: Peaky Blinders in the Inland Empire
Beyond the incredible writing and iconic characters, the brilliance of the series has also been its soundtrack, pairing a gritty period setting with modern rock. Naturally, this crossover is right up Candlelight’s alley, already renowned for blending genres and reinterpreting them in the classical form. Expect to hear iconic tracks like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ “Red Right Hand” and Arctic Monkeys’ “Do I Wanna Know?” echoing through the First Congregational Church of Riverside.
