If you’re a fan of one-stop-shops, you’re going to adore this upscale speakeasy attached to a fully operating barbershop!
Beard trims, stiff drinks, and grilled cheeses… just a few of our favorite things, served under the same roof. You may have heard of Blind Barber because of its locations in New York, Chicago, or even on the westside of L.A. If you’ve ever made the trip to this Northeast Los Angeles time-capsule, there’s no denying that this multi-functioning hang-out spot seems to have taken a lesson from a more vintage playbook in comparison to its Culver City companion.
The barbershop itself is very clean-cut and modern – bright white tiles scale the floors, vintage chairs are set at each station, and rustic wallpaper, as well as a variety of plants, cover the bare spaces throughout the room. Guests are invited to look their very best with offered services including haircuts, shaves, and beard trims — all of which come with a complimentary beverage when purchased.
Once all of your grooming needs have been satisfied, head over to the dark hallway to take a trip back to California back in the ’70s. The oak wood floors, midcentury furniture, and giant fish tank feel like mementos from the past; it’s the first location to be designed by the owners themselves and it’s said that they drew inspiration from Jack’s House in Boogie Nights. The retro den serves a collection of classic cocktails and grilled cheeses that are sure to keep visitors wanting more, that is if the daily happy hour doesn’t do the trick!
Location: 5715 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90042. See it on Google maps.
Hours: Tuesday through Thursday from 11a to 1a, Friday through Monday from 11a to 2a.
