Thousands of people are flocking to Paso Robles to experience the glowing “Field Of Light.”
If you thought the super bloom was a sight for sore eyes, then artist Bruno Munro’s light exhibit is right up your ally. Over 2,000 people have bought tickets to visit Field of Light during this week’s opening and Memorial Day visitors are calling it “one of the most amazing experiences.”
Field of Light at Sensorio is a 15-acre display of 58,800 rainbow-colored fiber optic lights, parallel to illuminating “stemmed spheres” that sway with the Southern California breeze. During the day, the solar-powered installation is an uncanny resemblance the ever-popular super blooms which sprouted this past spring – and by night, the blanket region transforms into a galaxy of twinkling hills.
This multi-acre walk-through experience is Munro’s largest piece of artwork to date. His goal is to awe people with this stunning exhibition with the hope that it will not only captivate visitors, but also encourage them to engage with the landscape and environment through an ethereal light-based and sculptural experience.
