In a new episode of Keeping Up with the Big Bear Eagles, the curious and tiny Fiona makes another star appearance at the family nest of Jackie, Shadow, and their little ones Gizmo and Sunny. True to her curious nature, she spends several minutes hopping from branch to branch, running in circles around the nest, distracting the youngsters and frustrating mom eagle!
This can be deduced from the latest footage captured by the Friends of Big Bear livestream, which was re-uploaded to YouTube by user Lady Hawk. In the clip, the daring and nosy rodent can be seen darting back and forth for six long minutes, while Jackie tries to deter her by wing slapping her… Several times. Meanwhile, the little ones, Gizmo and Sunny, look around, confused about why mom is in such a bad mood! If you look closely to the right side of the nest at 01:19, you can even spot Fiona’s lush tail peeking out.
All of this happens in the middle of the night, under total darkness, just before dad Shadow returns to the nest with a delicious fish breakfast. While Fiona guaranteed a sleepless night for Jackie and the kids, we’re not aware of any major consequences for the adorable but nosy little fur ball neighbor.
