5. Celebrate Echo Park‘s Lotus Festival

Join in on the festivities being held at Echo Park Lake’s annual Lotus Festival — where you can enjoy a vibrant celebration of Asian-American culture in Los Angeles. The event itself is free, but of course you might spend some money at the local vendors and artisans. Nothing wrong with supporting local businesses! Indulge in delicious food, listen to lively music, witness dragon boat races, and even lantern launches. Expert dance instructors will offer free, beginner-friendly lessons followed by an open dance floor for you to showcase your new moves and enjoy live DJ sets.
