Lyft and Uber are offering riders assistance in getting to the polls on November 6! 🚗
Catch yourself a free or discounted ride in honor of the upcoming general election. The catch? You have to vote!
Back in August, Lyft announced that they would be offering free and discounted rides this year. The email stated that in the 2016 election, more than 15 million people registered to vote but didn’t make it to the polls because of transportation issues.
In a recent blog post, Uber stated that free rides to the polls will be provided by partnerships with #VoteTogether and Democracy Works. Both ride-share services have provided easy one-click links to assist the public in registering to vote!
This isn’t the first time companies have offered an incentive to get people out and voting. In 2016, Uber, Lyft, and Zipcar rides to the polls were discounted or free.
