But traffic isn’t as bad when driving in a life-size Mario Kart! The Australia-born karting experience is headed to L.A. early next year for a Mario Kart competition called the Mushroom Rally. So grab your red hat, mustache, and overalls and get ready to tear up the tracks with gamers and racers alike!
There aren’t many details as of right now, but based on the previous Mushroom Rally matches we can presume that the event will most likely take place over the course of two days. From what it looks like over 600 people will participate in the competition, racing in groups of 20 at a time. Unfortunately, the races won’t take place on actual streets because… it’s L.A. – so the alternative is a custom built race track!
Expect prizes, tickets to competitions in other cities, and life-sized replications of the beloved game’s best qualities like the spinning bananas and much more!
