The Goodyear Blimp is an icon in its own right. If some sort of significant event is happening around the nation, you can safely bet that the blimp is trailing right behind it. It’s really become its own symbol, and luckily we can catch it gracefully floating across the sky often in Los Angeles.
No matter how old you are, the bright yellow and blue blimp has the power to stop you right in your tracks and look up in fascination. In fact, the incredible aerial ambassador even has its own schedule, so you know where to track it when it leaves its Carson base. No need to rely on luck, we’ve collected the full schedule below!

Riding The Goodyear Blimp:
Lucky folks have had the chance to ride the blimp themselves, however according to the Goodyear Blimp site: rides on the Goodyear Blimps are available only at the invitation of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Due to the limited number of seats available, most riders are Goodyear customers through our dealer relationships, winners of local charity auctions, local dignitaries or members of the media.
Every year hundreds of requests for ride certifications pour in to the Goodyear Blimp from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, and the opportunities are very limited. If you have interest in submitting a request, you can begin your process here.
