“City of Stars, are you shining just for me?” Sebastian Wilder (Ryan Gosling) and Mia Dolan (Emma Stone) ask in one of the film’s most iconic moments. And chances are, you’ll be asking yourself the same thing as you relive the magic of this now-legendary movie under the city’s night sky, accompanied by live music this fall.
La La Land, which premiered in 2016, became a global phenomenon, enchanting audiences around the world with its vibrant visuals, nostalgic jazz soundtrack, and heartfelt story. It went on to win six Academy Awards, including Best Director and Best Original Score, as well as seven Golden Globes, cementing its status as a modern classic.
Now, for the third year in a row, the beloved film returns to Los Angeles’ Street Food Cinema in its immersive concert format, blending the magic of open-air screenings with a live orchestra performing the unforgettable soundtrack.
You’ll get to watch the film with the iconic DTLA skyline as your backdrop, while the award-winning score comes to life through a 53-piece symphony orchestra and jazz band, conducted by Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz.
The event offers a range of seating options, from laid-back picnic-style general admission to premium platinum box seats, so you can choose your ideal concert experience. Throughout the evening, guests can enjoy food trucks, themed cocktails, and pre-order dining. Original costumes and set pieces from the film will be on display, along with themed photo ops. Doors open at 4:30PM, and the show kicks off at 7:30PM.
