It may still feel like summer in Southern California, but fall is already arriving at a sprawling family farm in Redlands. This month, Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Farm will reopen for its annual harvest season, transforming its working farm into a giant fall playground filled with pumpkins, carnival rides, animals, games, food and a corn maze.
Starting September 17, Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch will return with a sprawling fall celebration packed with pumpkins, carnival rides, farm activities, games, food and enough Halloween atmosphere to fill an entire afternoon. The seasonal attraction runs through November 2, giving visitors more than six weeks to visit. It bills itself as the largest pumpkin patch in Southern California.
It’s much bigger than a pumpkin patch
The pumpkins are only the beginning. Live Oak Canyon says it has 400+ animals in its petting zoo, including horses, goats, birds, and — new for 2026 — Highland cows and alpacas. There’s also a corn maze, pony and camel rides, train rides, inflatable attractions, mechanical rides, carnival games and plenty of fall-themed photo spots.
For the little ones, the attraction list includes a big train, corn box, corn cannons, pumpkin blasters, fun house and pirate-ship obstacle course. Older kids and thrill-seekers can hop on rides including a Dragon Coaster, Pumpkin Ferris Wheel, Century Ferris Wheel, Tilt-A-Whirl, Sizzler and Tornado. There are also plenty of classic fair games, from ring toss and balloon bust to paintball, archery and water races.
Once October arrives, the farm takes a darker turn with The Hollow Haunted Maze, a separate nighttime Halloween experience opening October 2. The Hollow runs on select nights through October 31, with evening sessions starting at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays run until 11 p.m., while Sundays and select weeknights end at 10 p.m. Unlike the farm’s regular attractions, tickets for The Hollow are sold at the gate only, with no advance reservations required.
