Getting to LAX is going to get a whole lot easier! 🚆
We’ve all been there. Thinking that we’ll miss our flight because of the traffic surrounding the Los Angeles National Airport. According to the Metro, things are looking up for travelers. Have the days of (nearly) stress-free traveling finally come?
Los Angeles is on track to have a ton of city renovations completed before we host the Summer Olympics in 2028, and implementing better public transportation seems to be a high priority. Designs for the new Airport Metro Connector station is about 60 percent complete and we have a fresh batch of renderings to prove it!
Crenshaw/LAX and Green Line riders will be able to transfer to the Automatic People Mover being built by LAX – talk about the future! The AMC station plans to feature bus bays for local buses as well as a pickup/area so that Angelenos can avoid having to drive into the very congested airport horseshoe. The station and line are estimated to open to the public in 2023, the same year that LAX expects the people mover to be complete. Check out the video below for an idea of what it’s gonna look like.
