By Malia Wooten

Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine!

Each year, the time comes where participating museums around the country open their doors to guests for free – just as long as they present their Museum Day ticket. On Saturday – September 21, the annual celebration is back for another round of historical and/or cultural indulgence on the house, all in the spirit of the free-admission-nature that Smithsonian Museums exhibit around the nation.

To redeem your e-ticket for free entry to the dozens of participating museums is to head over to the Smithsonian mag’s website, find the institution you’re interested in visiting, fill out the online form and voilĂ ! Participants are allowed to download one ticket per email address which will grant free general admission on Saturday, September 21 for two people. Frequent participants include the Autry Museum of the American West, Japanese American National Museum, GRAMMY Museum, as well as the Museum of Latin American Art.
