Celebrity artist David Weeks NYC is a featured artist at the pop-up museum, and his work is known to tackle social injustices. His new series, Mondern Day Mount Rushmore, which is dedicated to bringing awareness to cultural icons within the African American community who’ve helped shape the culture and provide a blueprint for wealth, success, and advocacy. Be on the lookout for his first installation in the series NSEWest, a massive four-sided bust showcasing the four emotions of rapper and fashion icon Kanye West!
Los Angeles is the first stop on Sneakertopia’s world tour, so be sure to pay it a visit before the pop-up jets off to New York, Tokyo, London, Paris, and Toronto! The exhibit is only open during the weekend, from Friday through Sunday, during the hours of 11a and 7p so be sure to plan accordingly. All ages are welcome.
