A permanent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizzeria, the first in the world, is headed to Santa Monica‘s iconic promenade in Los Angeles.
Inspired by the iconic franchise, the immersive dining experience is bringing the world of Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo to life.
According to a press release, visitors can expect a “serious New York-style pizza program, exclusive merchandise, themed cocktails, and interactive photo moments. Designed for fans of all ages, the restaurant is taking inspiration from the original 1980s TMNT artwork and universe, with nods to New York City, the Turtles’ underground lair, and their unmistakable love of pizza.”
A small bar will also reportedly serve alcohol on the weekends.
The restaurant is set to open on Saturday, June 20, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an appearance from Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo! There are also exclusive giveaways to the first 100 customers with a purchase.
The concept was developed by Andy Nguyen, Toybook reports, who previously worked on L.A.’s One Piece Cafe in Little Tokyo, as well as a Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Cafe in Atlanta, Georgia. Additional restaurants TMNT Pizzerias, are expected to open in Monterrey, Mexico, and São Paulo, Brazil,
