We can’t go to Italy, but Terra is bringing a taste of the Italian countryside to L.A.
The Century City rooftop oasis, Terra, is a little slice of Italian heaven perched atop the mammoth food emporium Eataly LA. You’ll ascend a spiral staircase, catching a glimpse of the wood-burning grill where the beautiful seasonal ingredients are brought to life, before stepping out onto the bright terrace with panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills.
Terra is centered around the elements of earth and fire—oh, and gin! Its name means “earth” in Italian and that’s where the seasonal raw ingredients come in. All of which are grilled on open flames to bring out the rich flavors of simple ingredients. Of course, nothing pairs better with these earthy dishes than botanical cocktails or a premium Italian wine.
But this summer, a new “build your own” gin & tonic menu has been introduced. You’ll choose between a classic gin or contemporary one with botanical flair, along with your choice of tonic—with unique flavors like yuzu, elderflower, and grapefruit on offer. Then, you’ll pick fresh herb garnishes like rosemary, sage, and thyme along with seasonal fruit like cucumbers and blackberries to make your perfect cocktail.
You can enjoy seasonal dishes like the Pesche e Burrata, made with fresh burrata, Regier Family Farms peaches, basil, grilled housemade bread, or a shareable Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye aged 45 days from Snake River Farms. Their brunch menu is worth mentioning too and with the lunch scenery, it’s the perfect spot to sip on a bloody mary as you see the weekend out.
This Eataly outpost has also taken all health and safety measures into consideration, so you’ll notice the tables will be further apart, fewer people and all the other necessary precautions required.
