The Mermaid Bar Is Hosting ‘Mean Girls Day’ For An October 3rd Celebration

What day is it? It’s October 3rd. 💕

Launching its weekly Woman Crush Wednesday (#WCW) night with a special theme, The Mermaid Bar is celebrating a “holiday” based on one of their favorite movies – Mean Girls Day! And how ironic that this year, October 3rd lands on a Wednesday this year? Naturally, owners Katie Kildow and Arlene Roldan plan to offer discounts on cocktails for every guest who wears pink. So grab your girl posse (or posse), and head over to Little Tokyo for an evening of “fetch” ‘fits and tons of quotable movie references!

A bounty of babes will be on-hand for this girl-powered party and there will be screening and whiskey specials from 8 to 10 p.m. The ladies in charge have also arranged for the night’s proceeds to benefit the Keep A Breast Foundation, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

In addition to the Mermaid Bar’s weekly #WCW promotions, Roldan says the bar plans on hosting burlesque and loteria (Mexican bingo) games. Though the nautical-themed spot isn’t exactly the girliest when it comes to appearance, the women in charge make an effort to use female liquor vendor and suppliers.
