When they say ‘giant’, they’re not kidding! CRYSTALLINE: Brazil’s Crystal Giants is the current exhibition taking over that southern-DTLA space with pieces that way over 1000-pounds. You don’t have to be into crystals to be amazed by Mother Earth’s massive creations.

From crystal daggers, the world’s largest natural citrine sphere, and a 1600-pound Bahia-borne Lemurian Quartz cluster – nothing quite tops the almost 2000-pound Amethyst Violet Throne. The dazzling rock is so strikingly beautiful, the thought of not bringing it home almost brings tears to your eyes. Thank goodness you can take selfies sitting inside because if we didn’t post it on the ‘gram, did it really happen?

Exhibition curator Steven Bookbinder has been in the crystal game for over 40 years and takes pride in his dedication to having these ginormous pieces of rock ethically extracted, transported, and brought to his cutting edge collection over the years! You can even purchase some of these magnificent rocks for as little as $20, unless you’re after the big-ticket items.

The show is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition’s closing date on July 27.

Location: 1040 S Olive St, Los Angeles, CA 90015. See it Google maps.
