We Made Our Editors Eat At The Disgusting Food Museum In DTLA

If you have a weak stomach… you may want to grab a barf bag!

Food may be universal, but what we each consider to be tasteful lies within an entirely different realm. With various cultures and cuisines across the globe, there’s bound to be something that your pallet finds to be unappetizing. The folks over at the Disgusting Food Museum rounded up over 80 of the world’s most disgusting foods so that you can decide what you will and won’t be eating again.

The exhibit is quite amusing (though the occasional whiffs of strange odors, is not.) It’s interesting to learn about how foods that are considered to be disgusting by one country might be found as delicious to another. Yes, you’ll roam through isles of maggot infested cheese, turtle soup, and salted black licorice; but you may also stumble upon a Twinkie, PopTart, or a bottle of Root Beer.

The Disgusting Food Museum invites visitors to explore the world of food and challenge their notions of what is and what isn’t edible.

Hopefully, our actions don’t speak louder than our words.

Are you brave enough to try some of these foods? Buy your tickets here!
