Wait… you don’t own a raincoat?
It’s not so often that Angelenos get to experience drastic changes in weather – so get ready to see lots of rain-related tweets about “people forgetting how to drive” this week.
On Monday, a storm paraded through Washington and Oregon managing to make its way down to NorCal on Tuesday. By the looks of it, the storm is making its way down to Los Angeles with plans to stay into Friday and Saturday.
Unfortunately, not everyone will be singing in the rain… it’s a possibility that the storm may lead to mudslides and flash flooding raising concern towards the recent burn areas. Additionally, The National Weather Service predicts that the downfall is expected to total 0.5 to 2 inches posing a flood risk to the heavily utilized Pacific Coast Highway.
Remember: plan ahead, turn on your headlights, and slow down! Driving through these L.A. streets is already like a Live Mario Kart Race in itself, so we could go without the extra stress.
(In the chances that you do happen to hydroplane, don’t panic. Just steer the car in the direction that you want it to go, and apply the breaks with a steady light pressure opposed to slamming on them.)
