When it comes to putting on a show, Los Angeles is one of the best cities in the world to do it. No matter where you are in L.A. this Independence Day, you’ll be able to bring in another year of celebration with a bang! We’ve gathered a list of the best fireworks shows to catch in town this 4th of July!
1. Marina del Rey
Every year, people go to Marina del Rey to gaze at fireworks exploding over the glistening ocean. Plan to arrive early to the Burton Chace Park or Fishermans Village to watch the show with synchronized music!

2. Disneyland
Disneyland has a firework show pretty much every night of the year. But on the 4th of July, state-of-the-art projections, show lighting and lasers will transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle and the façade of “it’s a small world” into a dazzling, family-fun dance party that goes sky-high with fireworks to celebrate the leader of the club, Mickey Mouse.

3. Dodgers Stadium
Nothing says Fourth of July like a Dodger Dog in one hand and a michelada in the other. What better way to celebrate a holiday than at Blue Heaven on Earth? Enjoy a baseball game followed by some gorgeous fireworks at Dodgers Stadium.
If you can’t make it to the game, you can usually catch the fireworks from spots around the stadium, like Elysian Park. A lot of people say the view from there is pretty great, but you’ll want to get there early since it can get crowded.

4. Hollywood Bowl
Celebrate 4th of July in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl, where each year hosts a fireworks-filled summer bash. This time, enjoy performances by Earth, Wind, and Fire for 3 full days! Bring a bottle of wine and settle in for the show, followed by a dazzling post-concert pyrotechnic display.

5. Long Beach Waterfront

7. Universal Studios Hollywood
Celebrate Independence Day at Universal Studios Hollywood. This special event will offer live performances by a fife and drum band and festive decor. And of course, the most important part – the sky will be filled with fireworks! Plus, guests can meet some of Universal’s most popular characters, experience thrilling rides, and eat delicious food.

8. Big Bear Lake
Big Bear Lake, our favorite getaway, promises one of the best fireworks shows in SoCal. The 30–40 minute display lights up the evening sky, visible from the lake, shoreline, and scenic trails. Plus, a local radio station enhances the experience with a synchronized musical soundtrack. Although, there are many who believe the fireworks show should be cancelled due to concerns about disturbing the beloved Big Bear Lake bald eagle family. Over 40,000 people have signed a petition to cancel the show.
