Big Bear has officially launched tickets to its popular “Above the Boom” fireworks viewing experience on the Fourth of July!
The viewing party takes place at Big Bear’s Snow Summit, where guests ride the Scenic Sky Chair up the mountain to enjoy dinner, music, and a panoramic view over the Big Bear Lake Fireworks Spectacular.
As Southern California’s largest fireworks show, it looks great from all over the valley, but this vantage point at 8,200 feet is especially memorable.
Above the Boom 2026
While the best part of Above the Boom is, of course, the fireworks show, the experience actually comprises a whole evening of activities. Your ticket includes a round-trip ride on the Scenic Sky Chair, one glass of champagne or sparkling cider, and a barbecue dinner.
Big Bear also hosts a ton of activities at the summit, including live music and entertainment, and a kids’ zone with face painting, bounce houses, balloon twisting, a petting zoo, and a craft area.

4th of July at Big Bear
If you can’t make it to Above the Boom, the Big Bear fireworks show is just as spectacular from the lake or shoreline. Families spread out blankets on the beach or shoreside parks, and many people rent pontoons or kayaks to watch the show from the water.
Big Bear is hosting a full weekend of accompanying events, including the Independence Day Faire at Big Bear Convention Center and Independence Weekend Glow Golf at Bear Mountain Golf Course.
