Spooky season is in full swing across SoCal, with everything from Halloween parades, haunted houses and pumpkin patches.
But among the region’s many seasonal attractions, one experience invites you to wander through a mile-long display of glowing jack-o’-lanterns. Night of the Jack is back at Calabasas’ historic 588-acre King Gillette Ranch, transforming the grounds into an illuminated Halloween trail filled with oversized pumpkin displays, dazzling lights, and interactive installations.
A mile-long Halloween trail
Running through November 1, 2026, Night of the Jack features a self-guided, one-mile walking trail surrounded by intricately carved pumpkins and elaborate illuminated displays, through 30 glowing light installations.
The trail combines larger-than-life jack-o’-lanterns with colorful lighting, projection mapping, and interactive scenes designed for memorable photos. This year’s edition also introduces new displays and photo opportunities, giving returning guests fresh reasons to explore the grounds after dark.
And there’s more than the pumpkin trail to discover: Jack’s Carnival brings a new lineup of family-friendly rides and games, including inflatable obstacle courses, a pumpkin slide, and other attractions.
Food trucks, Halloween cocktails, and more

Before or after the walk, you can stop by the event’s food trucks for a bite or head to The Spookeasy, a seasonal bar serving themed cocktails, beer, wine, and other festive drinks. Additional activities include face painting, a hay maze, tarot readings, and a seasonal shop selling Halloween souvenirs.
The experience is designed for all ages and isn’t a traditional scare attraction, making it an option for families, couples, and groups of friends looking for a different way to celebrate Halloween.
