A brand-new music festival is landing in Orange County, and it comes with serious star power behind it. Daisy Chain Fields debuts Saturday, August 29, at Great Park in Irvine, founded by Olivia Rodrigo and produced by C3 Presents. It’s a single-day, all-ages event built around an entirely women-led lineup, with 100% of net proceeds going to organizations that support women and girls.
What is Daisy Chain Fields
Rodrigo announced the festival back in June, describing it as a longtime dream inspired by Lilith Fair, the women-led festival that ran through the late ’90s and early 2000s. The festival celebrates the artistry and “contributions of women in music, fostering an inclusive environment in which all are welcome”. Fittingly, one of Lilith Fair’s original co-founders, Sarah McLachlan, is joining this year’s lineup as a special guest.
Proceeds from the festival benefit a long list of nonprofits, including Baby2Baby, Planned Parenthood, the Center for Reproductive Rights, the National Women’s Law Center, and several others focused on maternal health, reproductive rights, and support for women and girls.

The festival runs across two stages, with a single-day schedule packed from late morning through night:

- Olivia Rodrigo & Special Guests (including Stevie Nicks, Karen O, and Sarah McLachlan) — 8:40–10:00pm closing out the night
The venue: Great Park
Great Park in Irvine is in the middle of a major transformation, with a billion-dollar-plus development underway across the property. That includes The Canopy, a new 90,000-square-foot food and retail hub slated to open near Great Park Live later this year, along with future plans for event centers, lakes, museums, and interactive gardens.
The grounds are anchored by two stages: the Marigold Stage and the Dandelion Stage. Connecting these two focal points is Daisy Lane, a wide central thoroughfare lined with emergency services, wristband assistance, lockers, and merchandise booths. Additionally, the festival has a wide variety of food options, and features majority women-owned businesses that are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free friendly.
Because parking at large-scale events like this tends to fill up fast, organizers are encouraging attendees to buy Park & Ride shuttle passes in advance rather than planning on driving straight to the venue. Given it’s an all-ages, single-day event expected to draw a big crowd, arriving early and locking in transportation ahead of time is worth doing before the day arrives./

What to bring, and staying safe in the heat
The festival runs an August day at an outdoor park, and like most of Southern California, Orange County will be under a heat wave, with an expected high of 99°F during Saturday. Stay hydrated consistently, and check in on friends and strangers alike if anyone seems to be struggling in the heat. Daisy Chain Field Festival will allow:
- Empty reusable water bottles or hydration packs, plus plastic or aluminum water bottles (recommended, since staying hydrated all day matters)
- Personal misting fans, as long as they’re under 1.5 liters
- Sunscreen, capped at 3.4 oz and non-aerosol only
