One of Orange County’s biggest development projects has landed a major new tenant.T&T Supermarket, North America’s leading Asian grocery chain, is joining The Canopy, the retail and dining hub inside Irvine’s $1 billion Great Park mega-project, with a sprawling 34,000-square-foot store set to open in late 2026.

Great Park sits on 1,300 acres, transforming the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro into what’s expected to become one of the largest urban parks in the country, eventually surpassing both Central Park and San Diego’s Balboa Park in size. The project is expected to be fully completed by 2029, with plans for lakes, museums, an amphitheater, and a botanical garden. At the center of that vision sits The Canopy, a 90,000-square-foot retail and dining district. Designed as an all-day destination, The Canopy will also welcome In-N-Out Burger, Philz Coffee, H&H Bagels, and several other food and lifestyle tenants.
🛒 What T&T brings to Irvine
T&T Supermarket is already one of Canada’s most popular grocery chains, with more than 40 stores accross North America. The Irvine store will be among T&T’s first Southern California location, following its U.S. store debut in Bellevue, Washington, and their first Bay Area store, which opened in June 2026. Known for its fresh produce, seafood, and specialty Asian ingredients, T&T also offers hot prepared foods made in-store.
