A beloved microbrewery in Northeast Los Angeles, announced its closure on Instagram after 15 years of operation. The announcement marks the end of an era for the local craft beer scene, which has grown substantially in the last few years.
Founded by Jeremy Raub, his wife Ting Su, and Jeremy’s father Steven Raub, Eagle Rock Brewery was the first brewery to open in Los Angeles in 60 years. The family-run establishment quickly gained a strong following by crafting high-quality, artisanal beers that catered to a wide range of tastes. Ting Su stood out in the industry as one of the few female brewery owners in a field predominantly dominated by men.
Eagle Rock Brewery was part of a pioneering group of modern L.A. County breweries that began emerging in the mid-1990s. The brewery flourished during the craft beer boom of the 2010s, a period during which the popularity of craft beer soared across Southern California.
As Eagle Rock Brewery prepares to cease operations, its taproom and brewery will continue to serve customers until the end of June, offering fans a final opportunity to savor their beloved brews and bid farewell to a trailblazer in LA’s craft beer landscape.
