If your camera roll is looking a little uninspired lately, we have exactly what you need. Mellano Farmstand has officially kicked off its Berries & Blooms Season, and this year’s setup is a full-blown sensory overload of spring color and farm-fresh flavor.
Running every weekend through May 10, 2026, this festival is the perfect excuse to head toward the fresh air of Oceanside, grab a picking bucket, and live your best life.
The plan: a high-aesthetic family activity
The main event is, of course, the harvest. The farm’s U-pick strawberry fields are currently a sea of crimson, offering berries so sweet they put the grocery store variety to shame.
But it’s not just about the fruit. The floral displays are world-class:
- The Ranunculus Runway: Wander through rows of splendid petals that look like a living kaleidoscope — it will look incredible in your spring photo dump!
- Lavender Harvesting: Step into the aromatic purple fields and cut your own fragrant stems to take a piece of the farm home.
- The Bloom Bar: Feeling artistic? You can DIY your own custom bouquet or weave a Floral Crown to wear while you explore.
Tractor rides and family fun
For those with little explorers in tow, the Kids Zone is a powerhouse of activity:
- The Classics: Bounce houses, slides, and cookie decorating.
- Creative Crafts: Building miniature gnome and fairy houses.
- Animal Feeding: Head over at 2:45 PM to watch the farm animals enjoy their veggie feast.
Marketplace and live music

The vibe is kept high with live local music from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. While the tunes play, you can graze on street tacos, burritos, and golden funnel cakes, or browse the artisan marketplace for:
- Handmade jewelry
- Small-batch jams
- Freshly baked sourdough bread
