As the mecca of entertainment worldwide, L.A. always offers many options to enjoy a night out, from major concerts and art installations to movie screenings. This season, Angelenos can add another unique experience to the list: a dazzling “glow-in-the-dark” ballet performance.
The internationally acclaimed Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty is now running in Santa Monica as part of its ongoing international tour, which has brought the production to more than 80 cities worldwide.

The show is designed as a compact touring ballet that blends classical choreography with LED technology, transforming traditional stage movement into a synchronized display of light and color.
Created by María Farelo and Cristian Pérez of Luma Artistas S.L., the 60-minute performance reimagines Sleeping Beauty through a stripped-down narrative approach, where visual effects and movement replace elaborate set design. The illuminated costumes react dynamically to choreography, making light an active part of the storytelling rather than a background element.
The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage
The production is being staged at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage, a renowned performing arts venue located in the heart of Santa Monica. Opened in 2008 and situated on the campus of Santa Monica College, the state-of-the-art theater has become one of SoCal’s premier destinations for live performances.
Known for its exceptional acoustics and intimate design, the venue seats approximately 500 guests, allowing audiences to feel closely connected to performers while still enjoying the atmosphere of a world-class theater.
