If you don’t have plans for tomorrow yet (or even if you do), there is an incredible event hitting the Westside.
The World Cup officially starts today, and the USMNT is opening up their tournament run against Paraguay tomorrow evening. Instead of crowding around a tiny TV at a cramped bar or sitting on your couch, Santa Monica Place is throwing a massive, all-day fan festival and watch party. We are talking a 30-foot LED screen, outdoor beer gardens, live DJs, and a ton of giveaways.
Best part? It’s completely free. Here is a breakdown of the event so you can map out your day.
What is Santa Monica Place?
If you haven’t been in a minute, Santa Monica Place is a gorgeous, open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment destination located right at the south end of the Third Street Promenade. Because it’s completely outdoor and just two blocks away from the beach, it catches the perfect ocean breeze.
The property’s Center Court is an open courtyard right in the middle, making it the ideal venue for an outdoor summer festival. It is being completely transformed into a vibrant match-day headquarters where you can grab food, hang out under the coastal sky, and watch elite soccer without feeling trapped indoors.
What the Event Includes
Here is a look at what is waiting for you:
- The 30-Foot LED Screen: A massive viewing wall built directly in Center Court so you won’t miss a single play.
- DJs & Beer Gardens: Multiple live DJs spinning all day long, local food vendors, and outdoor beer gardens.
- Games & Fan Activations: Interactive experiences, soccer trivia, face painting to show your team colors, and custom photo moments.
