The 2026 FIFA World Cup is coming down to its final whistle, and soccer fans around the world are preparing for a showdown between two of the sport’s biggest powerhouses. Argentina will take the field chasing a historic fourth star on its jersey, while Spain hopes to repeat the glory of its 2010 triumph in South Africa and lift the trophy once again.
With two football giants facing off, the final is expected to become one of the most-watched sporting events of the year. To celebrate the championship match, L.A. is turning one of its most scenic green spaces into a massive soccer celebration.
Fútbol For The People World Cup Final watch party
This Sunday, July 19, the Autry Museum in Griffith Park will host “Fútbol For The People: Live Final Game Screening at the Autry,” a free outdoor World Cup Final screening. The community-focused event will transform the Autry’s lawn into a giant “open-air stadium”, featuring a 52-foot outdoor screen where hundreds of fans are expected to gather to watch the battle for soccer’s biggest prize.
The event will start at 10:30 AM, before kickoff at 12 PM. Admission is completely free, but guests must reserve tickets in advance. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, although organizers note that having a ticket does not guarantee entry if capacity is reached.

In addition to the giant screen viewing experience, attendees can explore a curated marketplace featuring local vendors and small businesses, enjoy photo opportunities, and grab food and drinks throughout the day. Food trucks, concessions, themed cocktails, and a full bar will be available for purchase. Before heading to the park, here are some key details to know:
- 💳 Cashless experience: Check-in, bars, and concessions will be fully cashless, so visitors should bring a credit/debit card or digital wallet for faster payments. Some food trucks and venue-managed bars may still accept cash.
- 🚗 Parking info: Free parking will be available at and near the Autry Museum, as well as throughout Griffith Park. Guests can also purchase reserved parking as an add-on for a guaranteed spot close to the event entrance.
- 🐶 Dog-friendly event: Furry fans are welcome! Leashed dogs are allowed at the event, making it a family-friendly outing for both people and pets.
- 🚻 Facilities and transportation: Restrooms will be available on site, and visitors planning to arrive by public transit can check the Autry’s official maps and directions page for transportation options.
Remember to bring a blanket, low lawn chairs, friends, and family members for an afternoon of soccer, music, food, and local culture!
